A pair of Louis XVI white-painted fauteuil, A pair of Louis XVI white-painted fauteuil, 18th century, French, each with a ribbon-tied crest over an oval back, open arms and overstuffed upholstered seat, raised on fluted tapering legs, 62cm wide 55cm deep 97cm high (2) Provenance: The Gordon Gridley Collection, London. Condition Report: Painted decoration later, upholstery dirty and in need of renewal, frames appear to be oak, joints re-enforced beneath seat, frames solid.
