Mixed media including ink, graphite, gouache, watercolor, and colored pencil. Illustrated front and rear covers (paper over board, versos also illustrated); 10 leaves of preliminaries including printing notes, tables of contents, dedication, half-title, and a few page mock-up; 37 pages of calligraphed rhyming verse with illustrations and decorative borders. Most pages marked and dated "Capri 1912" often with "Sept" or "Oct" added, along with notes; almost all with written color indications initialed by him (i.e. "orange & green / V." Oblong folio, the sheets measuring 210x310 mm; 12¼x8¼ inches.
