Most of her professional years were spent at Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. There she did commissioned murals, and from 1939-74, was Professor of Art History. She retired to Bradenton, Florida. In 1974, a retrospective of her work was held at Mt. Holyoke. According to the Yale Alumni magazine Dorothy McIntosh Cogswell passed away on July 3, 2008. 14 1/2"H x 21 3/4"W
