Karelia armchair design by Lisii Beckman for Zanotta with structure in polyurethane foam. The pair of armchairs has been reupholstered with removable cover in soft fuxia velvet.Karelia, designed in 1966 by the Finnish designer Lisii Beckmann. It represents a pop culture classic of the 60s and is also a very comfortable seat.The Karelia seat by Liisi Beckman, is part of that series of innovative objects, from a typological-morphological point of view. The objects in that period represented the future, alluding to the game, transformable, creating a strong relationship with man and sometimes inspired by the art world. The pair of armchairs, given their eccentricity, are ideal for pop environments or to create a complete break from formal environments to give a touch of absolute modernity.It is on display at the Vitra Design Museum in Weil am Rhein.
