Margot de Taxco ( American, 1896 - 1974 ). Born as Margot Van Voorhies, San Francisco. Celebrated Mexican sterling silver jewelry designer best known for her pieces that combine silver and enamel. Design on these screw on earrings feature koi fish forms with water coming out their mouths with a teardrop with amethyst suspended below. Measures 1 3/4" x 5/8". Signed Margot de Taxco 5207 B with eagle 16 on one, the other stamped Sterling Made in Mexico. Combined total weight 12.8 grams.
