Earl Swanigan (American, 1964-2019), acrylic on masonite, large format painting depicting a domestic scene of two anthropomorphic dogs, one sitting back with a pipe, reading a newspaper, while the second one sits on the edge of a bed, smoking a cigarette, the door to the bathroom hangs open in the background, dated "6/9/10" and signed in Sharpie l.r., 33" x 38 1/2" board, unframed. Swanigan was a noted Outsider artist from Hudson, NY. This painting comes from the collection of a close friend and collector of Earl's who is featured in a documentary about him.

Perforations and losses to the board typical of Swanigan's work as he exclusively utilized salvaged supplies. Otherwise good.
