In overall good to fair condition. The painting spans two sheets of paper, one mounted on top of the other. The sheets are toned with time and possess ripples, particularly noticeable at top right. Two pinpoint holes are present along left edge. There is a brown smudge next to the violin's handle, though this may be inherent rather than surface soiling. The sheet is loosely floating within the frame. Past remnants of mouting are present in the four corners verso; these remnants are visible from the front. The sheet is inscribed in pencil '3' bottom center verso.
