Description
English, first half 19th century, seven piece selection of blue and white earthenware blue and white transferware tableware comprising: a John and William Ridgway hexagonal "India Temple" server, a Minton octagonal "Chinese Marine" soup tureen, a John Meir oblong "River Fishing" covered server, and Cork and Edge "Vermicelli" platter, plate, and two rim soup bowls, the "River Fishing" server unmarked, the remainder appropriately marked. Provenance: From the Estate of Jack R. Kelly JR. Approx. of the largest, h. 10", w. 14.75", d. 9.5" ("Chinese Marine").
Condition
All with firing, glaze imperfections, crazing, scattered staining, accretions and crack to "India Temple", small flakes to "Chinese Marine", chips to foot of "River Fishing".
