According to a letter accompanying the painting attached verso and dated to February 22, 2000: The present work was part of the U.S.A. State Department's 'Art in Embassies' program, and resided for a time in the Embassy of the Unites States of America in Amman, Jordan, home of Ambassador Mr. William J. Burns. Mr. Burns adds that this work by Folinsbee in particular provided a wonderful means of sharing with the people of Jordan "a taste of the richness and beauty of the American landscape."
