The relined canvas in overall good condition, with areas where the bare canvas shows through (upper right and bottom left corners), which appears consistent with the artist's working method. The surface of the canvas might benefit from a very light cleaning. Examination under UV light reveals broad inpainting along the top outer edge of the work, with more precise and localized inpainting in the sky at upper left, center and upper right quadrants generally speaking (mostly located in the sky but also on the faraway hill at center right, touching the right outer edge). Remnants of varnish across the wooded areas. With a purplish dark green pigments, but not a sign of restoration. See specialist's pictures for more details.
