Regency Black Lacquer Chinoiserie Decorated Linen Press, Circa 1810

The upper section with a pair of doors opening to an arrangement of drawers, the lower section opening to divided slide out shelves. The upper left drawer bearing the inscription 'This cabinet is the gift of Mrs. Robinson to her two daughters Jane and Mary Robinson. Thorp Green. Dec. 25th, 1808. Height 6 feet 9 1/4 inches (206.5 cm), width 47 3/4 inches (118.6 cm), depth 22 1/4 inches (55.6 cm).
