Vintage 14kt Mabe Pearl & Diamond Necklace & Earrings Set, 19". tunning set with large oval mabe pearl cabochons bezel-set in a wide 14kt gold frame with a meandering gold srand throughout and set on top of the earrings is a 7 diamodn cluster and on the pendant a V bail with 6 diamonds in it. The pendant is 1.75" long from the top of the bail to the bottom of the pendant and 1" wide. The bezel-set pearl is appx. 20mm by 16mm. The diamonds are appx. 1.2mm round cut diamonds that are set in a 14kt white gold strip in the bail. The diamonds are appx. H-J in color with some includsions visible under magnification. The pearl does have a blemish. The pearl in the earrings is approximbatly the same size. 20mm by 16mm. They are in the same setting with the exception, on the top they have a white gold setting in a round design with the diamonds arranged with two on top, three in the center, and two on the bottom, giving it a blossom look. These 14 diamonds in the earrings are very similar to the diamonds in the necklace H-J in color with inclusions. The set is ma rked 14kt and tested. Weight is appx. 21.93 gr. That includes only the gold and pearls and diamond in the weight. The necklace is a black braidedcord that is appx. 5mm wide with a loop and bead clasp. The end of the necklace where the loop is is wrapped in gold wire/thread. The pendant has a hinged bail held securely on the cord but can be unlocked and moved to a chain of your choice but the difference of black against the shiny and satiny finish to the gold, does add to the set. The pieces are marked 14kt and have a maker's mark unknown to me. Age is estimated at 1980's, could be earlier. This is a very special set for a very special person - it's design is a theme of art nouveau and modern at the same time. (W4922.57X7 SS7059 J LD 4/28/22).
