Tempera on masonite mounted on stretchers. 419x521 mm; 16x20 inches. Signed, RBG, lower left. Signed, Robert B. Green, and Robert Green, on stretcher. Provenance: Estate of the artist; Kansas University; Private collection. Robert Berkeley Green Studied at Carnegie Mellon University where he earned his undergraduate degree and then received a Masters of Fine Arts from Yale. Green then traveled to Europe on a two-year prix de Rome fellowship award to study at the American Academy in Rome. He taught at the University of Kansas from 1946 until his retirement in 1979.
