CHRISTIAN SKREIN (*1945) | ‘Glaswassermolch’ (Friedensreich Hundertwasser), Vienna 1968 | Gelatin silver print, printed in the 1980s on double-weight semi-matte paper, in excellent condition 40,5 x 41,2 cm Signed, dated and titled by the photographer in the lower left in black ink, his copyright stamp, also signed in pencil, and his name stamp on the reverse Friedensreich Hundertwasser in a dressing gown, lying on the glass roof of his city studio, sited in the house of the insurance company “Der Anker” in Vienna, corner of Graben 10 / Spiegelgasse 2, built in 1895 by Otto Wagner. The glazed roof structure was originally intended as Otto Wagner’s studio. Friedensreich Hundertwasser im Morgenrock, am Glasdach seines Stadtateliers liegend. Das Atelier befindet sich im Haus der Versicherungsgesellschaft “Der Anker”, Ecke Graben 10 / Spiegelgasse 2 und wurde 1895 von Otto Wagner erbaut. Die gläserne Dachkonstruktion war ursprünglich als dessen Atelier gedacht.
