Batman brandishes a brush as Robin holds a crow quill dip pen on what's probably the first comic cover to depict original comic book art. Under the covers, Catwoman jazzes up her wardrobe in her perennial quest to coax the Caped Crusader into her cathouse of crime. "In April-May 1942 the Catwoman wears a black cat's-head mask — similar in design, but not in color, to the one she wore previously — complimented by a black dress, purple cape, and purple belt." — Michael L. Fleisher, The Encyclopedia of Comic Book Heroes Vol. 1: Batman. Macmillan: 1976, p. 162.
