Cover: Bernard Baily. Art: Basil Wolverton, Hy Fleishman, Charles Stern, Tony Mortellaro. Overstreet: "'Robot Woman' by Wolverton; acid in face panel." GPAnalysis: A 3.0 sold for $580 in March 2022.
Hy Fleishman and Tony Mortellaro both turn in excellent horror stories, but the prize goes to Basil Wolverton's bizarre "Robot Woman," in which a deformed scientist creates a mechanical woman to be his love slave ("Here is a woman who will never grow old, who will never fail to obey and who will never love anyone but me! She is the PERFECT woman!"). When an accident renders the robot hideous, melting her synthetic skin but leaving her libido intact, the scientist lives to regret his creation (but not for long).
