A beautiful French Napoleon III period" Boulle style casket / jewelry box circa 1870/ 1880. The wood case is ormolu mounted and inlaid with brass and tortoise shell. Signed " Berthet & Peret, 13 rue de Montmorency, paris".
Approximate measurements: 5 1/2 " H x 11 1/2" L x 8 1/2" W

Condition

Very good condition with one minor area ( right upper) corner of the left side of the box) of tortoise shell inlay loss .Interior lining fabric was replaced.
