Description
1890's to 1910 Austrian Secessionist Form Chandelier with Otto Schott muslin glass shades. Salvaged many years from a salvage companies hoard / pile of metal. (As per our consignors recount) There were several of them mangled and destroyed and our consignor managed to save one along with one extra shade to be given to the winning bidder. We suspect this was designed to be an oil lamp chandelier though its future is electric. No makers marks present to the brass fixture though the shades are marked Otto Schott and another maker that we cannot quite read. Presumably Austrian though perhaps German or even Hungarian ~ be your own curator as to country of origin. Simple and stylish light measuring an overall 26" tall and approximately 17" in girth / diameter. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. A few minor bends here and there but no breaks or repairs. Three shades shown while there is a fourth shade for the buyer which has a crack which happens to be the one marked Otto Schott.
