Exhibited: International Quilt Show, Tokyo, Japan, January 2012, in a special exhibition of hexagon quilts. Catalog note: ''Spectacular variation of one of the three most traditional early 20th century quilts made--the Grandmother's Flower Garden pieced of hexagons. Few examples of this complex pattern have surfaced. Arranged in this way, they also form a large six-point star with half blocks as the border.'' - Laura Fisher
