Description
Two antique Russian portrait etchings. One is a portrait of Prince Boris Alexandrovich Kurakin, 1733 to 1764, a Russian statesman, clerk, senator, engraved by G. Afanasiev, signed lower center. The other is a portrait of Prince Yakov Feodorovich Dolgorukov, 1639 to 1720, a Russian statesman and diplomat, engraved by F. Kasatkin, signed lower center. Both published by Platon Beketov in his Collection of portraits of Russians, famous for their military and civil actions, by scholarship, compositions, talents, or by which names became known to the world, in chronological order, by the years of death, 1821 to 1824.
