Five 19th Century Continental Miniature Portraits - Each portrait is framed, four in wooden frames with gilt embellishment and one of these being particularly ornate. Portrait of woman in lace cap, black dress, and doing needlework is signed illegibly and dated 1836 (gilt metal frame 5 3/8" x 4 1/2".) There are two portraits that are done in pencil and ink (young woman and boy), one bearing the name of the young woman (Appears to be Arina R….? Orton Hamilton?). Condition: age appropriate wear.
