Description
A GEORGE III LEATHER TOPPED MAHOGANY WRITING DESK, EARLY 19TH CENTURY, the later rectangular gilt tooled leather writing surface, above two deep drawers with bale handles on elliptical pressed brass backplates centering stylized florets within beaded trim, raised on tapering circular turned legs with triple ring capitals and ending on brass casters. Height: 29 3/8" Width: 35 5/8" Depth: 28 3/4"
Condition
Fading throughout, normal scuff marks, scratches, dings, nicks, part of left side trim is lacking, brass handles are later, leather top is modern as is the custom glass top.
