Description
TWO CHINESE CELADON JADE CARVINGS, MYTHICAL BEAST AND POEM PLAQUE, QING DYNASTY (1644-1912), two celadon jade carvings with orange-brown russet inclusions comprising one recumbent mythical beast in the Ming Dynasty taste carved with armored ruyi flower form plates and flaming tail, height: 1", width: 2", depth: 3/4"; and a rectangular plaque with scalloped ends is carved in relief with a watery landscape of a boat leaving a bay with forlorn figure and pair of ducks opposed by a five line poem, height: 2 1/2", width: 1 1/2", depth: 1/4".
Condition
