The item up for sale is a "short lock" of John Lennon's hair, consisting of a few strands which have been displayed over a scan of the original lock, thus, making it a substantial display. It is contained in a custom silver leaf frame with dimensions: 22 ¼" x 19”, matted with a photo of Lennon, along with an excellent Facsimile signature and a presentation plate inscribed with the following, "JOHN LENNON (1940 - 1980) THE BEATLES (Performing 1963 - 1970) John Lennon, one of the "FAB FOUR," popular Beatles singer, poet, painter, as well as a very inspirational figure to the youth of the world. This lock was obtained at the 1964 Minnesota State fair and comes with a newspaper article stating how Cheryl Retallick obtained the hair along with additional documentation.
