Polychromatic depiction of vibrant flowers places in a glass vase against a mottled green background. Marinko had studied at the Waterbury Art School with Lewis York and at Yale University School of Fine Art with Eugene Savage. In 1963 Marinko participated in the Fantastic Art, Dada, and Surrealism show at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, but later exchanged his surrealist style for stylized landscapes and abstraction.

Signed "Marinko" lower right corner.
