French portrait of the second half of the XVIII century following the model of the portraits made to Marie Antoinette, of great importance are the clothes, the hair accessories and the jewellery of the time, giving us to understand the acquisitive level of the person portrayed in question. This portrait is of high quality, indicating the artist's skill and craftsmanship. The model in which the sitter is presented is largely reminiscent of the portraits of Marie-Antoinette painted by the artist Vigeé le brun, in which she appeared in simpler clothes and from a more intimate point of view, far removed from the pomp of the French court. Marie-Louise-Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun. This neoclassical painter portrayed the leading members of the French nobility, and was invited to Versailles to paint Queen Marie-Antoinette in 1783.
