FOUR FRAMED EMBROIDERED PANELS
Meiji (1868-1912), Taisho (1912-1926) or Showa (1926-1989) era, 20th century
Each worked in silk and/or cotton thread, the first depicting trees lining the banks of a river, a bridge spanning the water and a boat moored in the middle distance, overall: 34.5cm x 42cm (13½in 16½in); the second depicting Itsukushima Shrine, overall: 37.5cm x 45.5cm (14¾in x 17 7/8in); the third and fourth depicting a rural riverside scene, each panel: 157cm x 58cm (61¾in x 22¾in); each framed and glazed.
