A Large Thang-ka Depicting Hayagriva, Tibet, 19th century, the Buddhist wrathful god with six arms and eight legs, his three heads each with third eye and skull crown, with diminutive horses emerging above, standing on bunches of serpents on a lotus base within a floral prabha fringed with blossoms, approximately 240 cm x 170cm In Tibetan Buddhism, Hayagriva is one of the Dharmapalas, wrathful gods, and is worshipped particularly for his ability to fight diseases, represented here by the massed snakes he is trampling on.清十九世纪 堆绣马头观音唐卡
