Russian porcelain dinner plate from the banquet service of Tsarevich Aleksander Aleksandrovich (Later Tsar Alexander III), Imperial Porcelain Factory, circa late 19th century. Scalloped rim decorated with ornate border in red and gold surmounted by his double "A" cipher beneath the Imperial crown. This service was ordered for the future Alexander III while he was still a Grand Duke and was used at the Anichkov Palace in St. Petersburg. Reverse: Faint IPF Alexander III monogram, a number "50" and two dots along the inner rim.
