T.Sergent Monumental Palissy style Trompe l’Oeil French Majolica charger applied with a large pike, a perch and an eel resting on an island, surrounded on the rim with two large frogs, a lizard and a large crayfish, pierced for suspension. length 24 3/4 inches. Attributed to Thomas-Victor Sergent, school of Paris Circa 1875. Thomas Sergent was working in Petit Mongrouge, near Paris by the end of the 19th century.
