A Large Japanese Edo Period Imari Deep Charger
Edo period (1615-1868), 18th century, porcelain hand painted with repeating bands of birds with flowers and stylized chrysanthemum crest, encircling a scene of Chinese children playing on an outdoor terrace, all interior decoration with lush patterns, the exterior of the charger has scrolling hollyhocks and small blossoms, a ruyi border encircles the foot, six Chinese characters to underside.
