Description
Two Native American baskets and 3 napkin rings. The first basket, Penobscot etched birch bark with lid, decorated with flowers, cattails with frog, butterfly, squirrel and crescent moon and marked on base "Indian Pride" - good condition - 6"H x 5 3/4" diameter; the second basket, Penobscot, thin birch bark, decorated with hand sewn quill-like threads - the white birch bottom of lid is loose from top and some thread losses; combined with 3 Penobscot birch bark napkin rings decorated with quills - each with some losses to quill work. Provenance: From the Doris and Jerry Soldner collection, Lake Carmel NY (formally of Kingston NY).
