Two primitive field baskets. The first with single loop handle, very good condition, no splint breaks, late 19th century; the second a large Taughkanic swing handle basket with 2 splint breaks along the body, and several noticeable splint breaks along the edge of the pushed up bottom, overall good condition - see photos for further examination of condition, 19th century - measures 19 3/4" diameter x 9 3/4"H (to top of rim) x 13 1/2"H (to top of handle). Provenance: From the Doris and Jerry Soldner collection, Lake Carmel NY (formally of Kingston NY).
