Description
Two miniature blanket boxes, mid to late 19th century. The smallest in a natural pine finish with molded edge to lid and square nail construction - missing molding bottom right side, normal use wear, overall good condition - 15"W x 6 1/4"D x 6 1/4"H; the largest, in original green paint having a tapered molded base and square nail construction - interior with till missing lid - likely had leather hinges which are missing so lid is loose from base - some surface abrasions and wear to lid, but overall good condition - 17"W x 8 1/2"D x 8"H. Provenance: From the Doris and Jerry Soldner collection, Lake Carmel NY (formally of Kingston NY).
