Description
Two 19th century mocha mugs. The first with seaweed decoration on a blue ground - the porcelain handle has been replaced with a professional make-do tin handle reinforced with tin straps around the body - also note hairline on footed base - 6"H x 4 5/8" diameter at base; the second, with squiggle lines around the perimeter on light blue ground between narrow black bands and 2 larger green bands - small area glazing loss under the 2 top black bands, hardly noticeable (see photo) plus some crazing, otherwise good condition with no other damage - 6"H x 4 5/8" diameter at base. Provenance: From the Doris and Jerry Soldner collection, Lake Carmel NY (formally of Kingston NY).
