Description
Two matching garden benches with wooden slat seats and backs and having iron sides in the form of an exotic game bird with a beak that is scrolled and extends to form the support for the backboards. The iron frame is 19th century, and the slats are later replacements - one seat with some losses on the underside (see photo), else both are very good condition. Each measures approximately 44"W x 21"D x 32"H. Provenance: From the Doris and Jerry Soldner collection, Lake Carmel NY (formally of Kingston NY).
