Designed by Old Tom Morris and James Braid, Panmure is one of the oldest golf courses in the world and is located on the Angus coast of Scotland, within proximity to Carnoustie. Ben Hogan famously arrived two weeks early for the 1953 Open Championship in order to play practice rounds and get acclimated for Carnoustie. He played those practice rounds at Panmure and it surely helped, as he would go on to win by 4 shots. A wonderful club history outlining the evolution of the club and course. D&J D22780.
