Description
Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic Period, ca. 664 to 30 BCE. A strand comprised of dozens of faience and glass beads in tubular, spherical, fluted, cylindrical, and paired forms. The small beads are presented primarily in hues of brown, however some beads exhibit light-blue, deep red, sage-green, yellow, and creamy white hues as well. Size (strand): 22" L (55.9 cm); size (largest bead): 0.55" L (1.4 cm).
Provenance: private Dallas, Texas, USA collection, via descent, acquired in Greece, Turkey, and Iran from the 1950s to 1970s while stationed as diplomats

Strung in modern times. Beads are ancient, and stringing is modern. Light abrasions and nicks to some beads, and light encrustations within some recessed areas. Light earthen deposits throughout.
