Pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Yellow Glazed bowls Porcelain Bowls On Carved Hardwood Stand. The porcelain potted with a shallow body, slight deep, thick, flaring rim with angled cavetto elevated the steep sides upward the flaring round mouth rim, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Warm and uniform yellow glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Yellow is an imperial color in Chinese Dynasty color symbolism, representing power, royalty, prosperity and the earth in traditional Chinese culture.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within fine blue ring line. Made in The Years XuanDe Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
