Description
A rare French pedal harp of the Louis XVI period, c. 1780's-1790's, ornately carved giltwood and gesso with floral vernis motifs on the soundboard. Stamped "A Paris" at knee plate, maker's name completely worn off. Possibly the work of Jean-Henri Naderman or Renault et Chatelain. Dimensions: H 66" x W 29" x D 25.5" Condition: As-is; with signs of old repair and restoration, losses to carving, stress cracks and worming to wood, etc. Missing one foot; another needs reattaching.

All the items in this auction remain at our Gallery in Norwalk, CT for pickup or shipping. Items must be picked up in the time frame of Friday, April 29th - Friday, May 6th, 9am-5pm, WEEKDAYS.
