Robert Clark Palusky (American, b. 1942), 1982, modern art glass sculpture, hollow blown glass sphere with ground top, milky white ground with light brown swashes, orange and brown swirls radiating from top, tubular, spherical, and cylindrical shapes as well as metallic glitter sandblasted onto surface, signed "Robert Palusky" and dated "1982" underside base, expected wear, approximately 9 3/4" h., 10 1/2" dia. [Provenance: From Collection of Visual Images, Wellfleet, MA. Palusky received his MFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1969. He taught himself the fundamentals of glass blowing although he did receive a Mellon Foundation Research Grant to observe European hand-blowing techniques in the early 1970s. He served as an Associate Professor of Art at Hamilton College for many years.]
