1) "Franklin No. 9", 1902, serial no. 17353, type V, scarce model of the decorative American frontstroke typewriter with circular ideal keyboard, 40 keys in 3 rows, "Franklin" in script on the shield, transfer with likeness of Benjamin Franklin's on the paper table, ribbon spools tucked neatly into the frame, with tin cover, machine partially dirty and rusty, in need of cleaning, one shift key broken, worthy of restoration, with tin cover. - Literature: Martin, 1949, p. 95. - And: 2) "Royal Standard No. 5", Royal Typewriter Co., New York, c. 1910 onwards, serial no. 159202-5, 4-row frontstroke machine, working, mechanism somewhat dusty, in need of cleaning.
