Description
From the earliest of times people have worn their wealth.
It wasn't until after World War 2 that the use of sterling silverware declined, mainly because so many Europeans lost their wealth and sterling silverware was primarily used by the nobility.
From that point onward, many American manufacturers began to produce steel silverware, which was more affordable.
With this over production of silver plated and steel/nickel silverware many artists of the 1960's up to today have used these utensils as the basis for their work.
From this primordial state, I've incorporated our Bedouin nature with our mid-20th century production of silverware to bring you my 10th collection of silverware inspired jewelry.
This is the eleventh piece of my 9th collection of silverware inspired jewelry.
An old silver plated fork was cut down and bent over in a fan spread with the ends rolled over, then molded and re-cast in brass and finally layered with sterling silver.
The fork ring measures 2" long by approx 1" wide in the front design.
Marked, "AJ" for "Alberto Juan".
Available as sterling silver($250), 14 kt gold vermeil over sterling silver($270), and 14 kt gold vermeil over brass($150) and with the polish of your choice (polished or antiqued).
As with all Alberto Juan jewelry comes in a protective Velvet black bag, shown in some listings.
