Description

(FIELD GEAR).
1) FIELD PACKS. 2 Dark green canvas field packs M1941 though likely later mfg. Packs are complete w/ shoulder straps, closure straps & buckles.
2) CARRIER. Green canvas carrier w/ cargo sling strap. Strap marked w/ faint globe & anchor. Carrier has 3 zippered pockets.
3) CANVAS POUCH. Green pouch is approx. 10" X 12" w/ 2 webbed closure straps. 2 Flat metal clips on back for unknown attachment. Pouch is marked "U.S.M.C." on front & rear has sm. rectangular area w/ appearance of strap being removed. Pouch has wear & extensive staining.
4) TRAVEL BAGS. 2 Zippered bags w/ USMC & globe & anchor markings. Bags are likely PX purchase. Bags are ID'd to Stephen Melinder likely Vietnam era.
5) FIELD PACK CARGO. Green web & canvas cargo field packs. Packs are marked inside flap cover & appear complete w/ straps & closures.
6) BLANKET. OD blanket measures 66" X 84" marked "U.S."
7) CANVAS GARMENT BAGS. 2 WWII Khaki US Marine Corps bags, 1 ID'd to Cpl B. M. Chop. Bag is in well used condition. Closure strap is missing leaving lg. tear. / 1 Bag in very good "unissued" condition.
8) SHELTER HALF. Green & brown reversible shelter half w/ soldier's name Sgt. Joseph W. Pilate stencilled on green side. Shelter half shows light wear, fading & staining.
9) SHELTER HALF. OD green shelter half marked "Powers & Co." "1945" w/ button fasteners. Has fading, light wear & staining.
10) SHELTER HALF. Green shelter half (new type) w/ metal snap fasteners. Dated 1952. Also marked "USMC". In very good condition.
11) SLEEPING BAG LINER. Marked "Phila Q.M. Depot". Dated 1943. In very good condition.
12) MISC. OD green waterproof clothing bag marked "13 February 1958". / 2 USMC marked canteen covers Korean War vintage. / 3-7.62 NATO cloth rifle bandoliers. / 1 Pair of field pack suspenders marked "U.S." / 1 Cargo sling. CONDITION: unless otherwise noted, items may have light wear, staining, loose stitching. (02-15920/RW). $700-1,000.
