FOUR CIVIL OFFICIALS' RANK BADGES
Mid to late 19th century
Variously depicting a Mandarin duck woven in Peking knot, the background with peacock-feather detailing; two gold thread badges depicting a quail and a golden pheasant; and the fourth depicting a goose, against a blue cloud ground with scattered auspicious emblems.
All approx. 30cm (11 7/8in) wide (4).

Condition
General rub and wear and minor thread pulling. Stains to the silk, mainly on the backs.
One quail gold-thread badge with a mend to the back. The goose badge made of two separate halves sewed together not at the exact height.
