Rare Late 19th century English silver and enameled The Knights Templar presentation medal in original box. The Knights Templar (full name The United Religious, Military and Masonic Orders of the Temple and of St John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta) is a fraternal order affiliated with Freemasonry. On front of the medal inscribed “ORDER OF THE TEMPLE; FIDE EN ENTEGRITATE” (on the ribbon); on the medal “HOLY PALESTINE PRECEPTORY”. On the back of the medal inscribed “PRESENTED TO E.Sir Kt. Henry Venn, by the Fratres of the HOLY PALESTINE PRECEPTORY LONDON. In recognition of his services as its Emt. Preceptor during the Year1883-84”. Hallmarked with seals, overall very good condition. 4.5 inches x 1.75 inches
