An American Renaissance Revival marquetry inlaid, parcel gilt and ebonized rosewood lady's secretary, probably New York, third quarter 19th century, the superstructure with prospect door over a hinged fall enclosing a fitted interior of small drawers, pigeon holes and slide covered well with a single frieze drawer below, height 64in; width 31 3/4in; depth 24 1/2in, for a similar example see Neal Auction Company, New Orleans, "Louisiana Purchase Auction", October 6, 2007, Lot 89, light wear to finish, some watermarks on a shelf, some veneer damage at left front corner by lid
