Description
Hand carved Neoclassical style headless statue of a female Roman deity holding a flaming torch on plinth by Italian based stone product manufacturer Laboratorio Morselletto. The statue is crafted from Vicenza Stone, a type of textured limestone composed of the remains of nautical organic specimens such as coral, shellfish, and algae. The piece is mounted with a plaque on the base that reads "Fuoco" or "Fire" and the maker's name "Lab. Morselletto Vincenzo". Please note of wear consistent with age and exposure to elements such as minor stone loss, chips, patina, and discoloration to the stone. The statue measures 27"W x 21"D x 75"H. This lot is extremely heavy and will require professional movers.
