Description

CHINESE AND JAPANESE METAL ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, comprising a Japanese bronze vase with octagonal-form well and a tall narrow neck having black finish to exterior, a Chinese Baitong hand warmer with engraved decoration featuring bats, a reticulated top, and a hinged bail handle, and a Chinese enameled silent butler. Vase with marks to base and stamped "JAPAN", hand warmer unmarked, silent butler with "CHINA" mark to base. 19th/20th century, or earlier. Vase 9 3/4" HOA.
Provenance: From the Don and Ellen Roberts glass and antique collection, Pittsburgh, PA.

Condition

Good to very good visual condition with expected wear and other imperfections including surface scratches, dents, oxidation, and/or losses to finish/enamel; hand warmer with possible repair to side near terminal of handle and rim; silent butler with repair at terminal of handle.
