ENGLISH STAFFORDSHIRE HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC FIGURAL SPILL VASES, LOT OF SIX, each having ovoid base and molded tree to back, comprising two pairs including one featuring a man and woman standing beside a waterfall, arm resting on a basket, and a swan at their feet, and one pair depicting a boy and girl standing beside a table with a begging black-spotted dog on hind legs, one example featuring a girl and a boy with a red-spotted dog and yellow bird, and one example with three children. Second/third quarter 19th century. 9 1/2" HOA.

Girl/boy with bird example having light hairline to back; three children example with professional restoration to tree and minor flake to back rim; boy/girl with dog pair each having some professional restoration and girl with some hairlines; each swan pair having some professional restoration including to swan's head, man with hairline to lower back; most having some minor expected wear to enamel and/or gilt decorations and moderate crazing. Some having manufacturing flaws including firing separations, as made.
